WELCOME
Do you remember years ago when we
made up words to fit songs that were on LP's because nobody understood
the words? Then God gave somebody the vision to put the words on the
back of album covers. Whew! We've come a long way, baby. Yet, we have
a long way to go. There's still a problem with Vocal Ministers of
Music. And the primary problem is a lack of conditioning and refining
when it comes to the development of the voice because we're singing
in the wrong key. Think about it. How many times have we attended
choir anniversaries, midnight musicals, joy night services and recordings;
only to hear choir members sing in the key of scream. There is help
for you.
The School of Vocal Artistry is designed
to enrich the knowledge and vocal interpretation expected from all
Vocal Ministers of Music. It is also intended to give instruction
in mastering tonal painting in addition to connecting words and
syllables while demonstrating one's vocal acrobatic abilities.
This course contains basic information covering
many aspect of the voice from defining the voice and it's components
to becoming a Lyrical Prophet. It will force the singer to analyze
his or her instrument from a musicality point of view instead of
an emotional point of view. The goal of this course is to instill
a renewed confidence when offering musical presentations. It is
also intended to correct erred techniques and eliminate vocal abuse
that are constantly performed throughout musical presentations.
